Every year colleges and departments will be provided with departmental data for internal review in January. The data are directly related to the university’s strategic goals. A three-year trend will be provided to highlight emerging patterns. These data will support departmental and college planning, budgetary recommendations, consolidations, reallocations, proposals, and other analyses.
The annual data review will enhance the information available to department faculty, college and university administrators to guide decisions by providing a standard set of performance indicators to all departments. Additionally, the information may prompt modification of the departmental queue for in-depth, formal academic program review.
Data will include average class size, instructional workload and productivity, faculty–student ratio, percent of instructional load carried by tenure-status of faculty, and budgetary resource allocation, with comparison data from peers.
